John A. Bogler

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Bogler serves as the Chief Financial Officer of CapitalSource, Inc. and CapitalSource Bank. He has served as the Bank’s Chief Financial Officer since its inception in 2008, bringing to the organization more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bogler has assumed responsibility for various financial, accounting, strategic, M&A and operational activities within the organizations he has served, including start-up organizations and large, well-established firms. He has also acted as a consultant on bank de novo activities, including regulatory guidance and performing initial capital raising activities.

Before joining CapitalSource Bank, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Affinity Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries, including Waterfield Bank. He also served in various corporate and financial capacities with the Jackson National Life Companies, most recently as the Chief Financial Officer of Jackson Federal Bank. Early in his career, he held several accounting positions with Paragon Life Insurance Company.
