Tad Lowrey
Chief Executive Officer and Director
Tad Lowrey has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CapitalSource Bank, Los Angeles, California since the Bank’s formation in July 2008. Lowrey has served as CEO, Chairman, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a variety of financial service organizations over the past 37 years.
Mr. Lowrey is active on many boards, including serving as an elected director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. Additionally, he sits on the Board of Directors for the California Bankers Association. He is also a member of the Government Relations Council and American Banker’s Council of the American Bankers Association.
Lowrey was appointed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Bank to a three-year term on the Thrift Institutions Advisory Council, and has served as its Vice President. He also served as an appointed member of the Savings Association Insurance Fund Advisory Committee to the FDIC. He is a former Chairman of the Western League of Savings, and a former member of the executive committee and Board of America’s Community Bankers.
Mr. Lowrey was Chairman, President and CEO of Jackson Federal Bank and was President and CEO of CENFED Financial Corporation and CenFed Bank. He has served as Chairman of Wedbush Bank, and as a director of Golden State Bancorp. Lowrey began his career with a national CPA firm.
