David J. Munio, age 67, served until he retired as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer for Wells Fargo and Company from 2001 to 2006. He held various senior-level, commercial credit roles at both Wells Fargo and Company and the former First Interstate Bank, prior to the latter's acquisition by Wells Fargo in 1996. Mr. Munio previously served on the Board of Directors of Wells Fargo Bank NA and Wells Fargo Foothill, a commercial bank lender focused on many of the same lending segments as CapitalSource. Mr. Munio held positions in commercial lending, workouts, Domestic Credit Administration, International Credit Administration, Risk Management, and Financial Planning.
Mr. Munio received his undergraduate degree and his MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles.
